Bodega Blanco Cerrillo Sevilla Reviews
Fried fish that smells excelent Aug 28, 2009
This small place (in Spanish you would call it 'bodega') serves the best 'boquerones en adobo' that you could ever eat.
There are two 'Blanco Cerrillo' in Seville.
One is located in the historical centre of Seville, between 'Plaza Nueva' and 'Plaza del Duque'. Concretely in 'José de Velilla' street and you can recognize it from the smelling of their food.
The second one is located in the traditional neighbourhood of the 'Macarena'. It is a little bigger than the first one. They have space for five tables inside and a few more outside when the weather allows it (we normally enjoy a brilliant sun).
They have different 'tapas'. I would no say their menu is very large, but the twenty or so 'tapas' they offer will not disappoint you at all.
I highly recommend you to order 'solomillo al whisky' (pork meat with a delightful sausage) and 'boquerones en adobo' (fried fish whose smelling is to die for). On Sundays you can also taste the 'Paella' (typical Spanish rice). Usually they give you almonds or olives for free with your drink.
The service is nice although they probably do not speak English and they are fast too (in ten intes you wil ave your order in your table for sure).
Summarizing, this is a familiar place where you can eat for about twelve euros per person (including beverage).
Do not forget that this recommendation comes from someone that eats there every weekend!!
