Bocas Villas

On a return trip to Bocas I definitely wanted to stay a little bit outside of town for some privacy, but didn't want to be too isolated. My girlfriend and I found rental houses online that turned out to be great. The house was built over the water, which is a pretty cool feature. It was only about 6-7 minutes from town (with a shuttle service included), but really felt like a different world when you are out there... a cleaner, quieter world. Some things we enjoyed there specifically were the views, great snorkeling, full kitchen, the bbq, and there was a/c in the bedroom (although we only used it once). As a couple travelling to Bocas this was perfect, we did take the shuttle to town for a couple of tours and for dinner, but we had our own retreat a few minutes away.

My husband and I stayed in the town for a few days but got our fill of that and decided to try this place for the remainder of our trip. We rented our own boat a couple of days to do some fishing and go to the different beaches. Not really necessary but I’m glad we did it. Nice place, quite, clean, very relaxing.

This place is high on my list of places to go stay at again. It was a beautiful spot and I definitely got everything I wanted from a Central American vacation staying here. At some other beaches, you could be anywhere in the US, but here I felt like I was experiencing something new and different in a safe environment, which is what I want when I travel. The best part about staying at this place is that there was nothing in between me and the water or me and the sunsets.
