Being part of 450 years history of mining Jul 14, 2011
Guanajuato, Mexico was also known for its silver and gold mines. Boca Mina San Ramon is one of the first mines where loads of silver ore was found in 18th century and part of Valenciana mining district. Silver at this mine has triggered many other mining activities in Guanajuato.

This historical place is open visitors now to understand the tools used for mining those days and the mine it self. A guide will take the visitors through the premises and explain the mining process. We have went into a tunnel through around 200 steps to see how a mine looks like. On site doctor is available to check Blood Pressure of visitors if needed before getting into tunnel. I have seen an original picture of the mining activity too.

There is historical bar too in the premises. Entrance fee for the premises is about 3USD.
