Bob Evans Restaurant Breezewood Reviews
Bob Evans in Breezewood May 25, 2012
The Bob Evans restaurant chain has been growing on us of late. On our Savannah trip, we liked the store in Smithfield, NC. On this trip to Pittsburgh, there was no Cracker Barrel to be had in Breezewood, PA, so we decided to try Bob Evans once more. Better than NC was this one!
Bob Evans offers very American food for the traveler. A type of coffee shop, but nicer. This location was very clean and spacious. A nice place for a sit-down meal after the drive up from the Washington, DC region.
I ordered a Pot Roast sandwich. (Pot Roast being a Bob Evans speciality.) It was served on toasted sourdough bread with a side of cole slaw and French fries. I also added a cup of Tomato Baisil soup as an appetizer. Very good! Susan ordered the Wildfire Chicken Salad.
This location is a Bob Evans General Store. There is also a sizeable gift shop in the front. (Nicer merchandise than at Cracker Barrel.)
Definitely recommended. A good alternative to the numerous fast food offerings in Breezewood, Pennsylvania.
Update 2013. We stopped again at Bob Evans in Breezewood for lunch both outbound and on our return trip from Omaha. One arrives in Breezewood just at about the right time for lunch, :) Both time this trip this I ordered the Wildfire BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. Also a cup of the thick Tomato Basil Soup that I now look forward to. Another Bob Evans hit!
