Located in Miraflores, this hostel is easy going, friendly, comfortable and safe.

The owner is so helpful and loves to answer your questions about the area, and Peru in general. He goes out of his way to help (he took us to the tourist police when we had money stolen (not at the hostel), and translated into Spanish and waited with us until everything was sorted).

Free all day tea, coffee, bread and jam is great and the lounge area is cosy with cable TV.

Only con is that there's an 'overflow' hostel, which is located just around the corner, which only has hot water for 4 hours a day, but you could shower at the main hostel if you wanted to. You have a key to the main hostel door so you can hang out there whenever you want.

Beds are super comfy and warm and the security is excellent, particularly at the overflow rooms (requiring 3 keys to get in!).

Really fantastic environment and highly recommended.
