Blue Tree Towers Paulista Hotel Sao Paulo

While staying at this hotel, you'd never know you were only one block from hectic Avenida Paulista. It is just around the corner from MASP, and that metro stop. Although understated, the hotel decor is calm, and the ambiance tranquil. Perhaps this is why you will notice many of the guests that stay here are Japanese, or of Japanese descent. The buffet breakfast served each morning also includes Japanese selections; a nice change from the standard Brazilian cafe da manha.

The room was clean, the layout spacious, with the bed tucked into an alcove. This made space for a living room like area with an ample desk, if one needed to work. Wi-fi is avaiable for a reasonable R$18 per day. The queen size bed very comfortable. Two additional pillows were found in the closet, so a total of four fluffy pillows made for a good night's sleep.

The air conditioning functioned well, had a remote control, and was extremely quiet. A self-programmable safe was located in the closet, so one can secure their travel documents, cash, and even a small laptop. There is a small terrace, should one want to open up their room to the outside air.

Again, the appointments of the decor are not "designer" or "boutique", but nonetheless tastefully modern. The photo provided on the info page is an accurate image of what to expect your room to look like. Considering what one would pay in say New York, or London, for a similar room, I found the rate to be quite resonable, and mid-range for Sao Paulo.

All in all I was very pleased, and again, the location is superb. Also, the Airport Express Bus, from GRU, stops immediately in front of the hotel, which is an additional convenience.
