Blue Pumpkin Reviews
Airconditioned bakery heaven May 10, 2009
I've been spending so many hours here, I just had to write a review about this. I just love it here - especially the lounge upstairs. Ofcourse it is a bit uncambodian, but the food is just lovely. Great coffee, great shakes, great bakery things. The Asian food is also ok, but I prefer the sweet things here, like the brownies, ice-cream and wonderful pie. Also the staff is very good and nice - made some friends here. I don't know anything about the owner though, except that it is a Khmer/foreign couple and that they probably have a very good business running here. Oh and the wifi is one of the fastest of Siem Reap! Most of my photo's on TravBuddy are uploaded here =).

a small popular cafe aimed at tourists. with it's white interior and sleek decor filled with ambience, it's very different from the other cafes around psar char (old market). There's free WIFI cafe wide and huge couches to sit on at the 2nd storey, but the couches are usually taken most of the time. filled with pastries and burgers, i was recommended the house special fish amok ravioli and never regreted it.
ps: i tried my psp and it worked quite effortlessly, giving me some quality time with family on ebuddy. |

She had spent all morning shopping the Old Market, enjoying croissants at Le Grand Cafe and the Blue Pumpkin. She was so pleased with the pastries here - we had thought we would get great pastries in Vietnam but that turned out not to be the case; whereas Cambodia surprised us with butter, flaky pastries, much like you would find in Paris… Best Massage of My Life, Yummy Pastries and Aspara Dancing. |

In the evening, we found ourselves back at the Blue Pumpkin. This place has a nice, diverse menu (with vegetarian options clearly marked). And again they did not let us down…I had a black-sesame tofu salad and Steve had the spicy chicken wrap. Both were incredibly flavorful. Two thumbs up. We didn… Danger!! Mines!! |

I go into the local two-story internet cafe (Blue Pumpkin) and see that they have ice cream and a food menu. It's pretty cool. Like kicking it on a bed with pillows and small tables for laptops. This is were the cool people hang out and tell others of their journey here… Cambodia - 8 |
