Blue Man Group, Chicago - Chicago - TravBuddy

I love the Blue Man Group. I used to live in NYC, so I have seen A LOT of shows, but Blue Man Group has been my favorite show since I first saw it. I took my husband to Chicago for his birthday, and since he has never seen The Blue Man Group, I decided to take him on the night of his birthday. This was the third time I saw it, and I wasn't disappointed.
The Blue Man Group in Chicago is located on at the Briar Street Theatre. Most of the shows always sell out, so I recommend you buy your tickets online before making the trip to Chicago. We went to the 4:00 pm show, which is daily, they also have either a 7 or 8 pm show, it varies by day, and a 10:00pm show. The great thing about the Blue Man Group is the theatres always offer a smaller audience setting. Every seat in the house is a good seat. The first five rows are prone to getting splashed with paint, among other things, so you must wear a poncho throughout the show.
The Blue Man Group is a great show featuring three "blue men". They are painted blue from head to toe, and they wear the same black matching outfits. They do not talk throughout the show, but you will laugh your butt off. They entertain by use of props. They play plumbing pipes like instruments, they do really cool things with paint including putting it all over the top of drums, and then pounding away, as the neon paint flies. Their skits offer great audience participation, and they always grab someone from the audience, for the twinkie skit. I have noticed it is usually a women that they tend to pick, and they are always above the age of 60. The show has a lot of black lights, and they have a band that plays between set ups.
No matter if you are going to be in Chicago, or the other cities that show Blue Man Group, if you want to have a great laugh, and you want to be fully entertained, check out the Blue Man Group, you will not be disappointed.
