Snorkling at Bloo Lagoon, Padang Bai, east side of Bali Mar 10, 2010
Took like one and half hour to Padang Bai from Sanur, but it was worth it i'd say. Paddy field was our scenery, nice to see other side of Bali besides the beaches..

We went up the hill to see the lagoon. i think it's a hidden lagoon not many knew about. There's restaurant called Topis 1km before the place, great food!

Once we arrived, we went down steep rock stairs, and below was the lagoon, a good private place to snorkle....

i rented the snorkling gear (the fin and mask) for 50.000 idr. (that's expensive,, my friends said the average was 20-30.000 idr per pair)

It was raining and the wave was quite strong when i snorkled, but i think it only added the fun to it.

Hey, thanks for the warning. Luckily i didn't get into any trouble nor stepped onto any corals. A curiosity though, what trouble some people got into when they're there? I saw quite a bunch of people hangin and snorkling while i was there, so i thought it was just simply another place to be..

Just to warn, it can be very dangerous going out in the bloo lagoon if the waves are strong, I've seen quite a few people get into trouble there, and also you can damage the coral if you get washed into it. Ask the locals and they will point you in the direction of the channel to get out so you do not dammage the corals and hurt yourself.
