Delicious, refreshing smoothies! Apr 29, 2011
This my must-stop place whenever I go to SB or even drive through it. There are a few locations, spread through Isla Vista, Goleta, SB and Montecito. "Blenders" (as it's known in short form) is a delicious smoothie shop, with all fresh fruit and juices. They have a large menu, full of all kinds of fruit/juice/dairy/non-dairy combinations. Staff are very friendly and very willing to help you out in anyway they can!

Best smoothies in Santa Barbara Dec 01, 2010
Blenders is definitely on of the better smoothie operations out there. Great selection of flavors and so far, every one of them has tasted great. The "red banana" and the "peanut butter" are personal favorites. Tastes amazing anytime, but especially after a long day on the beach.

If you are looking for an alternative to the frappuccinos, which you can get at any of the coffee shops, Blenders (a Santa Barbara based business) is the place for you. My all time favourite is The Raspberry, which is a juice-based blender made up of raspberry juice, raspberries, banana, non-fat frozen yogurt and raspberry sherbet. Apart from this one, you can also get The Strawberry, The Original, The Pina Colada and many more. Blenders also offer milk-based blenders such as The Peanut Butter or The Banana as well as specials, soy alternatives and fresh juices. Blenders stress that they only use natural products.

All blenders are sold in 24 oz containers and include free supplements such as Vitamin C, bee pollen, guarana, and a lot more. I was told that the Vitamin C supplement is tasteless. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the other more "adventurous" supplements.

I almost forgot to tell you about the wheatgrass juices you can buy by the oz.

*Update*: Today I tried their V6 vegetable juice and I did not really like it, it tasted too much of onion and garlic. I could hardly taste the tomato, carrot, or celery. I was quite disappointed because I was looking forward to it since I really enjoy V8 vegetable and tomato juice =(
