Blarney Vacation Guide

Blarney, known as "the biggest little village in Ireland", is one of Ireland's most picturesque villages. One of the finest things that impresses the first time visitor is the well preserved village square. Blarney is one of the few villages in Ireland which has such a fine amenity, and today it continues to be a focal point of village life. In Tudor style, the village has developed around the square which is owned and carefully maintained by Blarney Castle Estate.

Some great sights to visit include the legendary Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle. For many of the visitors to Blarney, their first priority is to kiss the famous Blarney Stone high up on the Castle battlements. Be prepared to turn upside down to kiss the stone while bending over backwards. Don't worry, someone will hold you while others take your picture. Tradition holds that those who kiss the Blarney Stone will be endowed with the gift of eloquence - "the gift of the gab", as the locals call it.

The Blarney Woollen Mills store, the visitor will find a traditional store full of classic clothing and gifts.
Other attractions of Blarney are the Rock Close, Blarney House and Garden

My first time in Ireland I was with a tour group, mostly Americans, and we had this beautiful blonde as our guide. One American guy was very obnoxious toward her, kept flirting with her even though everyone could tell she wasn't interested. You know, one of those guys who never gets the hint. When…

I have always wanted to go to Ireland ever since I was little and I finally made it! It was a great trip however halfway through the trip I landed a nasty cold which made it more difficult to site see. Regardless it was a fun trip.
