Blackbeard's Seafood Island Restaurant Makati City Reviews
Blackbeard's Seafood Island - The ilocano Northshore Grill Dec 05, 2010
When I was in greenbelt, trying to look for a good restaurant for dinner, I saw this restaurant packed with people. I said to myself, the food here must be good enough to attract the crowd. So, I gave it a try.
This restaurant is located in the famous shopping malls at Greenbelt 3, Ayala Center in Makati.
There are 4 Blackbeard’s Seafood Island restaurants in Metro Manila, apart from this one, others are:
a. Fiesta Market, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, Global City
b. Unit 28-31 Shopwise Arcade, McArthur Avenue, Araneta Center, Quezon City
c. Unit H-5 Main Drive, Eastwood City, Bagumbayan, Quezon City
This restaurant not only serves seafood, but also variety of local cuisines.
I ordered Sisig, Igado, Kambing, Kinilaw and Crab.
Sisig – a Filipino dish made from parts of pig’s head and liver. Sisig is a Kapampangan term which means "to snack on something sour". It refers to a way of preparing fish and meat, especially pork, which is marinated in a sour liquid such as lemon juice or vinegar, then seasoned with salt, pepper and other spices.
Igado - is a popular Ilocano dish made from pork tenderloin and pig’s innards such as liver, kidney, heart.
Kambing – Goat, lamb or mutton
Kinilaw – Raw fish, very similar to the Latin American ceviche.
Good food must pair with great beer, San Miguel beer is a good choice.
Overall, Seafood Island is a great place for good seafood and local cuisines.
