Affordable luxury -closest accommodation to the beach Mar 01, 2009
Found this on in Lonely Planet and we are so glad we did.Great location,private,self contained and styly. Cool hosts. One night they cooked a really delicious NZ lamb dinner for us. Not cheap, but well worth it.Ran 1 minute to get to the surf each morning!Home for a sleep,tramp in the beautiful bush, more surfing,massage, ate at Surf Club watching the bright red sunset. I couldnt recommend this place more. Our suite was called the Kauri, and it is set in a natural bush garden.Only 45 minutes from the city and I understand it is the same to the airport. The hosts were great with helping us plan our trip. This was way Better than hanging out in the city for sure. Really unspoilt area and a must go for travellers.
