Bistro Grill Deno Zagreb Reviews
A great neighbourhood restaurant. Aug 13, 2010
After arriving in Zagreb late in the evening, we were directed to this little place by the desk clerk at hotel Jarun, where we were staying.
Deno is a local place, but it does get tourists from time to time as they had an English menu. Thank god for that.
It is your typical neighbourhood, family owned restaurant where you feel very welcome. On that rainy night, we were the only customers there. The waiter, a friendly man, gave us a bit of explanation about the menu, be it in broken English.
We ordered the cevapcici and the pljescavica, meat dishes with fries and a nice salad.
The food was great! We washed it down with a pint of Karlovacko beer.
We would have loved to have desert, but we were full. The waiter seemed a bit disappointed but we told him the food was excellent, which cheered him up a bit.
The bistro is way out of the center of Zagreb, but if you're staying at hotel Jarun or close to Jarun Lake, it is definately worth checking out.
