Bintan Vacation Guide
Just an hour by ferry from Singapore, lies the beautiful Bintan islands. A well-kept secret, Bintan boasts of clear serene shores ideal for snorkeling and light sea sports.
There is a wide variety of hotels to choose from: from fun-filled Club Med, to romantic Banyan Tree resorts, or family-friendly Bintan Lagoon Resorts.
Taste seafood on stilt-houses on the sea, and let the evening breeze and still waters relax your evening.
On the weekends, enjoy beach parties, and refresh yourself the next morning with a traditional Indonesian massage in the spa.
For the more adventurous, mangrove visits, trips to nearby Tanjung Pinang, and trips to Dolphin Island's available.
If you are looking for a closer-to-nature travel that takes you away from the typical 'tourist' crowds, Bintan is the place to go. The white sand beaches are endless and quiet. Remains from old Malay kingdom offers visitors a bit of history. Friendly people and good food are aplenty.

Bintan island is about one-hour ferry ride away from Singapore, one-and-a-half-hour flight from Jakarta, or less than 3-hour flight from Bali. The island keeps a low-key lifestyle but boasts pristine beaches along the coastline. -excerpt from my review-When you visit Bintan island in Indonesia, yo…

I might say that this is also a one-of-a-kind experience. First, I arrived late in the Ferry terminal and the bad news...all the tickets were with me! hahaha! We bought a new 1-way ticket and spend 40SGD for it (i really feel sorry!). It was fun! We had our own beach party...I was drunk...I really enjoyed it a lot...
