Binh Minh Sunrise 1 Hue Reviews
Good and valluable hotel Jul 27, 2010
As many other hotels in a lot of Vietnamese cities, there are more hotels with the same name. In Hue are two hotels with the name Binh Minh Sunrise. We stayed in number 1. This hotel has two stars and is situated in the new centre of Hue. The location is good, since it is only about 5 minutes walking to the Perfume River. It is just arround the corner from one of the biggest roads inside the city, that goes all the way to the Trang Tien bridge over the Perfume River. This bridge is only for pedestrians and (motor) bikes. Around this bridge does also a lot of tours over the river start that brings you to Pagodas and Tombs. At the other side of the Perfume River is the old town and Citadel of Hue. That is where the interesting things and places are to find of the city. There are restaurants in the surrounding area, but the real tourist centre, I think, is about 10 minutes walking to the North with a lot of restaurants and hotels close together. The area where the hotel is, is a safe area where you can be at the streets in the night too without having any problems or getting in trouble.
The hotel room we had was not that small. But only the twin bed was, this could have been a little bit bigger. Because of the trees in front of the hotel there is not coming a lot of light into the room when the curtains are open. The bathroom was small too, but that wasn't so bad. The only negative thing was that when you took a shower, the whole floor got soaken wet. But that was not the worst eighter. The hotel was very clean, which is probably the most important for me. And after returning to your hotel room at the end of the day, the maid cleaned the room excellent and dried the floor of the bathroom entirely. We also had an airconditioning in the room, which could make it very cold and dry air compared with the hot humidity outside! But the dangerous thing about that in these tropical heath is that you can easily catch a cold. So beware of turning the airco too cold!
You could have breakfast in the hotel in the morning. But you had to hand in a paper at the reception the night before with the order what you wanted to have as breakfast the next morning. In the same area where the reception and entrance of the hotel was, was also the "restaurant".
The staff of the hotel was very friendly, like almost all the hotel employees in Vietnam. Every question you had, they helped you extremely good with it. For helping you with the laundry, which they had a service for too and helping you to buy a bus ticket for going continuing your travels.
About the price of the hotel, it was a cheap hotel with a high value compared to what you pay.
So I found this a very descent hotel to stay and want to recommend it to other travelers that are going to stay in Hue.
