Bindia Take-away Frederiksberg Reviews
Fabulous Indian take-away in Copenhagen Feb 03, 2011
I have always been fond of Indian food and having discovered that there is a take-away just around the corner of my home is like striking a jack-pot. I had ordered Indian food from Bindia on the internet and had here used the service from www.just-eat.dk where they bring out the food for a fair fee.
Bindia do now have 5 branches in the Copenhagen city centre 3 of them being take-away’s and 2 restaurants; I haven’t tried the restaurants yet but the take-away is marvellous. I can especially recommend there butter chicken, stuffed puri and having the Pilaoo rice which all are just wonderful.
Besides the wonderful food I like the packaging as well; everything is boxed in nicely and it gives just a quality impression when your food arrives or when you pick it up.
Bindia’s head chef Khawar Sulman grew up in Punjab in Northern India with two working parents who were seldom at home when it was time to prepare dinner. Nevertheless, the aroma from the kitchen of the neighbour, who belonged to one of the known culinary families, where ancient recipes and secrets were passed on from mother to daughter, was always in the air at dinnertime. The magical fragrance of their enchanting food was always just around the corner and was irresistible.
He set himself to figure out why his mother's food never smelt as good as their neighbour's and therefore entered the kitchen to find out and he has stayed there since as he says on the home page. The kitchen is where he now has spent most of his life and it is a good place to be, he says!
