The Biblical Museum Sep 28, 2010
The Biblical Museum is al about the Dutch Bible. It shows how the Bible was formed from the Old Testament up to today. Most parts are about the Old Testament because the priest who used to live in the building collect most of the items himself.

Many items are models of temples you'll still find in Isreal or Egypt. But allso about the exodus.

Some of the oldest Dutch Bibles are here, among them is the oldest Dutch printed bible from 1433.

There are some archeological finds like: coins, pottery, oil lamps and a mummy.

Because the musuem is located in two historical Canal houses you'll find some of the local architecture too. In summer you'll be able to go into the garden. Special item is a painted ceiling located in one of the rear rooms.
