Ride a runaway mine train! Mar 21, 2011
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a roller coaster ride in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom. The backstory is that the mining camp of Tumbleweed has been washed away in a flash flood and now the mine trains are running wild on their own! The roller coaster takes riders though a Western themed landscape. It doesn't invert, but there is low headroom as it passes through tunnels and under rocky outcroppings! (I'm tall and I know I won't really hit my head, but I duck anyway!)
You return on a different track from which you left, an interesting sensation! Are their really two rides in one?
Recommended! Included with park admission. Can be Fastpassed.
