No longer Country music and much louder. Sep 15, 2008
Do you ever go out just to have fun? A good BBQ menu developed originally in the concession stand business back in 1984 and has spread that business all across the country. Finally in 1994 the businesses owner decided to try it as a permanent location. That location did well and now there are 4 locations here on the west coast. The atmosphere is definitely a fun, exciting, and wild one.
The country music that plays as background music sometimes gets a chance to pump up the volume and all of the waitresses and waiters and even the bus people get up and do a well choreographed line-dance in several different areas of the restaurant. There is a mechanical bull to ride and although you must sign a release form, they do allow fairly young children to give it a try. Shucks, they'll even help take pictures while you fall from that big bad bull. It's fun though, because the person that controls the bull is quite experienced and knows how to make a little kid look good, and an experienced tough guy grown-up look foolish. Now the food here is BBQ. Nearly everyone loves it. And it comes in big portions. Salads, Sandwiches, Plates, Side dishes, stuff for the young'ns, and even desserts. Yes, you can get a drink, if you're old enough. I recommend this place, but only if you like BBQ. :) UPDATE: September 12, 2008 We hadn't gone back in some time and found out that this time they no long play country music, but pop rock, and the dancing by the waiters and waitresses is now done only by two young men who do break dancing. The music is louder, the mechanical bull is only used a little, and the prices are up by at least 20%. |
