Great location. 1 mimutes to Times Square. 3 minutes to subway station. 5 minutes to Port Authority. Free Wi-fi access if you got your laptop, charge applied if you use the computer in the lobby. Room is okay. Bathroom is a bit run-down. I stayed there in January 2008 for 1 night. I booked thru their website for USD 37 per night.

Couldn't get a better location if you tried! It's right in Times Square and across the road from a Starbucks (but then again isn't everything in NY!). The security is fantastic with staff on duty 24/7. The elevators take you up to your room (or down to the basement laundry). Rooms are exceptionally large with heaps of space. I have stayed their twice - in winter and summer and it was neither too hot nor too cold in both. The rooms have 2 sets of bunks - 4 beds. Really quite rooms and 2 bathrooms for about 4 rooms. They are exceptionally clean and seem to be cleaned several times a day. It costs $34 a night. You can't get cheaper than that! Fantastic place to stay especially for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Book early though as I am sure they will fill up.

Like the title says, I
wasn't really sure what's the what in New York City. I've known lost of things
about New York but at a minimal level. So I've heard the names - Empire State
Building, Soho, Wall Street, 5th Avenue, but wasn't quite sure wha…hostel - The Big Apple Hostel (female only rooms, slightly dirtier look
but much closer to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, which would come in handy
the next day). I was just a couple blocks away so me and my friend dragged my
suitcase in the late… So what exacly should I be taking pictures of? |

My god it’s sunny! This was such a painful wake-up, so quickly grabbed my last Tim Horton’s coffee. Farewelled Kristin and Mel who had kindly given me a lift in to Toronto (well, Mel was pretty much asleep on the back seat)
In my ru…Big Apple Hostel’. Ended up getting there at 11:30 a.m. I remember noticing from the shuttle a sign that said ‘no honking, fine of $??’, I couldn’t believe they’d fine that.
Now I knew that there was a Yankees game on at about… Yankees and Times Square (with a hangover:) ) |

We are within walking distance of Central Park, the Empire State Building and many more interesting sights of New York City. We are also close to all public transportation such as Greyhound, Amtrak, Subway and Airport Transportation from Port Authority or Grand Central Station.
