Many records were broken this meet-up: it was the largest meet-up ever, with more countries represented than ever before. It was also the first meet-up on a boat. But most importantly it was the first in seven meet-ups where I *didn't* forget to bring my camera :-)

A weekend break to Stockholm turned into a week-long road-trip around Denmark and Sweden. It's a tale of self discovery, breaking boundaries, courage and friendship.
Four countries, two men, and a car named Tweety.....

Had to go to the US for a three day customer workshop. My boss asked me to stay the weekend, because the flight would be cheaper that way. Who am I to refuse?

I started off this trip by staying with a friend in Guadalajara, then travelled with my sister through Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. Then on my own to cityhopping Salvador, diving Honduras and climbing volcanoes in Nicaragua. And for the final stretch a mate joined me for Costa Rica and Panama.

La Paz, Bolivia -› Altiplano, Bolivia -› …
My journey out of Bolivia during the civil unrest which had brought the entire country to a grinding halt. A combination of luck, pesistance and stupidity made that I became the only person to travel from La Paz to Puno on 8 July 1999. I have placed this story in a separate blog so that I could zoom in on the map to illustrate the route and add photos. It's a long story, but worth it.

Jul 03, 1996 – Aug 16, 1996
My first 'big trip': 2 months through 10 states in the US of A.
It was a great adventure, largely because of the fact that we didn't know what we were doing. This was before I had discovered the functionality of a Lonely Planet guidebook, so our trip was mainly planned using fly/drive itineraries. We managed though, and saw a lot of great stuff.
For now it is just a map and a couple of recollections - I need to scan some photos
