See the Shrinking Town of Biddle Apr 06, 2017
Biddle is a rapidly declining town of about 40 (down 33% since 2000) located along Montana Highway 59 in Powder River County in Southeast Montana near the border with Wyoming. Biddle is predominately male and the medium age is 60.5. I am not sure when the town started, nor how it got its name, but it got a post office (not the one in the photo) in 1916. This was the first town I saw after entering Montana from Wyoming.

Biddle has a nice, but tiny, historic district with a few buildings of historical and/or architectural interest. I liked the Cross Ranch General Store (photo 4) which was organized to support the nearby Cross Ranch in Broadus, and the old Wesleyan Church (photo 3).

There was also a building that was marked Biddle Community Heritage Center; but it appeared to have been closed for some time.
