In Holland, bikes out number Cars 10 to 1! They own the road and cars have to watch out for them.

You can rent bikes and several different places. They are not speed bikes but do have gears.

Amsterdam, especially the "canal belt" ( Herengracht, Prinsengracht, Keizergratcht streets) is very picturesque. It is awesome to bike around everywhere.

Look up "9 streets" this area in the canal belt is full of cute specialty shops and restaurants.

Its important to double lock the bikes when left alone ( they will show you how) because bike theft is very common!

Sara and Ashley did all the cycling while Ally and Dana just sat back and enjoyed the ride. You can walk into a souvenir shop and there's hard core porno playing cards next to the normal ones, as well as an aisle of maurijuana biscuits… Austria, Czech, Germany and Netherlands in a whirlwind

So I arrived in Amsterdam on Friday June 12 around 7:30 am.  After a frantic week and final 24 hours of packing and trying to finish things at the office I made my flight with plenty of time, only to be delayed by a thunderstorm.  We had t…canals.  Lots of bicycles because there is little room for cars.  The trams and bikes make it very dangerous to cross the street because they make no noise!  The more exotic aspects of the city such as the coffee shops and the red light… Arrival in the Netherlands

Next day I wake up in Amsterdam.  I’m part Dutch and for quite some time I’ve been itching to get back to really explore my Motherland.  In fact, one of my ideas had been to buy a used bicycle and spend my whole trip riding around with…canal, each with, of course, a bicycle parked outside…   It starts drizzling a bit, but nobody seems to be bothered.   I wander up and down the canals looking for the perfect clip.   I take a couple of pictures, but they don’t really… 0452 The Real Amsterdam (Netherlands 001—revisit)
