A restaurant called "Beef and Cheese" - I wonder what they do!
This is a charming little cellar restaurant on a lovely little square in the old town in Copenhagen. The place has a friendly relaxed feel. The menu consists of a small selection of steaks and fish dishes for main course. The steaks are good quality, and the chefs know how to do rare and medium properly. Whilst they have a dessert menu, the highlight for after the steak is the cheeseboard, which is well stocked with high quality cheeses from around Europe. The quality of the cheese really surprised me the first time I went there, but it wasn't a fluke; I went back and it was still just as good. An interesting extra feature is the house red wine, which is available on every table in a bottle marked with graduations up the side, so that you can help yourself and pay for what you drink.
