Lux places to stay Apr 26, 2014
First, I'd like to thank the wonderful ladies that made this review happen. I have a tradition of traveling outside the country every year for my birthday. This particular year, in 2010 I wasn't able to leave for a long period of time due to summer school, so I thought to do something in the U.S that could be equivalent to leaving the country. My friends decided to give me a weekend trip to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. I must say, to all the Americans, that I had no clue that this was the hotel from the movie with Julia Roberts, "Pretty Woman." I didn't learn that until after the fact. However, my experience there was Sublime. I would have to categorize this hotel as a luxury. During my three day stay I completed three activities. one a day, because it was very pricey. However, I would say that it's worth the bang in your buck. Upon arriving there, after check in, the whole staff begin to greet me by my last name. I don't know how they manage to memorize every guest. Secondly, your'e constantly greeted and accommodated every time there is a trip from your room to the front door by every staff member. On the first day of my stay I decided to go to the spa, to relax from commute. The spa holds all sorts of mud baths, massages a rejuvenating facials - California style. the hotel was extremely elegant and clean and the stores you have to choose from inside the hotel are stores like Swarovski Jewelry. not to mention this hotel sits on the very beginning or end of Rodeo Drive, where the window shopping is recommended!!! A single item on the whole strip will cost you over a thousand dollars to purchase. Which leads me to the food provided by the hotel. The ambiance alone make you feel as though you've been wondering what you've been doing with your life! Breakfast is pretty affordable ranging $10-$50 bucks, On the other hand I would not recommend the dinner menu unless you have the bread to spend. I will be posting the menu. On my last and final day I decided to leave the hotel and explore California beaches and sights. I believe from the Hotel great close by sights to visit would be the Hollywood strip, Rodeo Drive, Vinice Beach, Santa Monica beach. these are the places I have stopped by and they were about a 30min drive given the traffic is bumper to bumper.
