Victorian-modern style cafe with lovely gardens Feb 09, 2009
The Betty's we visited is one of two that is in Harrogate. It was sistuated on the outskirts at the RHS Gardens Harlow Carr. I think we were lucky to go at this time as the gardens were covered in snow which made it so picturesque.

What first struck me when coming into the cafe is that people were actually queueing for tables (one of our party has been there an hour before most of us to save seats) The only time I've had to queue is going into a club. I'm only mentioning this to emphasis how renound the place is meant to be. Anyway the people waiting we bypassed in the queue must have been cursing us I know I would.

I was shocked at the £6 it cost for a sandwich but but when it came OMG its the best one I've ever tasted and the others who had the same one agreed (it was the bacon and chicken club if anyone visits)!!

I would say the staff were pretty average tho ever heard of cracking a smile!!!

Well as you can imagine the number of people in the house being 9 and all wanting showers it felt a bit like Home Alone before they all set of for there holiday. I thought getting up at 8 would give me enough time and the plan was to set o…Betty's Tea Room. Now there are two in Harrogate and we were told that the main one situated in the centre of town is a tourist attraction. We went to the other one which was on the outskirts at Harlow Carr.
