We'd heard very mixed things about the city of Bethlehem.  Obviously, it was an important city to visit on a "pilgrimage" to the Middle East, but the city of Bethlehem lies beyond a great wall that separates Israel from the land known as the Palestinian Territory.  Although the Palestinia…

Our all-too-brief stay in Na'alin had to come to an end, naturally.  The next morning we traveled into Bethlehem proper once again, this time to actually take in some of the famous sites.  We spent the morning exploring the Church of the Nativity as well as the city's various markets and …

We stapt…

Some of you may have heard of the Hezbollah crisis: I was there in the midst! Many people hear about the turmoil in Israel, however, most people rarely hear of the hospitality of the people or of their amazing generosity. I experienced the Hezbollah crisis as well as the turmoil between the Arabs and the Jews as I traveled through uncharted territory and heard the story from the people who live it out on a daily basis. It is something that will forever be etched upon my mind.

And it actually did.... almost like walking next to Jesus :) It really feels like that when you're there. The only thing that disturbs this, kind of special, mood and a picture of old times are soldiers carrying weapon in their hands. Gets scary...

Shalom. I thought I'd drop a few pictures of my recent trip to Israel with my mom. We spent about 10 days traveling around the country. I must admit Israel wasn't in my top 10 list of places to visit until my mom mentioned she wanted to go. I (almost) never say no when offered to chance to visit some far away place.
