Went to DC for several days. I was expecting cool weather and fall colors, but it was unusually warm and very humid. Managed to get to Mount Vernon one day and Maryland another. In DC be sure and see the Museum of American History and eat in the Museum of American Indians (they have native foods from all over the Americas)

While Dan underwent a quick orientation at the restaurant I took to the streets to explore. There were so many little cafes and restaurants of every imaginable food I was overwhelmed. The shops along the way were filled with just about anything you could want. It's definitely a place to stop and explore if you're enroute to the DC area. I only had two regrets.
