friendly costumer service Jan 01, 2015
To start with; the staff, who gave assistance during our check-in, was very soft spoken, but friendly enough. The way, she gave instructions of where to go or how to reach our room, was clear, and informed us too about breakfast time and venue, check-out time, etc.
The property is huge. Our room building is a few meters away from the reception building. There is a medium size pool in the middle of the block. Lots of palm trees surrounding the pool. Parking is ample; we didn’t have trouble finding space that is near to the entrance door to our hotel room.
The room itself is decent. Spacious. Clean. Carpet is quite old though. The microwave and fridge became very useful. We didn’t eat out that night, but we brought cooked food that I froze prior to the trip. So, even though the microwave was small, it was a helpful tool for reheating our food. We used it too for popping popcorns!
Huge beds. Firm mattresses. Pillows are annoyingly voluminous. I did itch, but not too bad. Do I think there were bedbugs?! Perhaps!
Wi-Fi connection is speedy, so that's excellent. The heater was working right.
The clothing rack section and the vanity mirror/sink are adjacent so, movements here is convenient. But, the sink and the bathroom are detached. When one of us had to use the toilet and another had to use the sink it didn’t create chaos because both persons may do “bathroom-activities” at the same time. I noticed grout sealers in the toilet area needs cleaning or replacement. There is a high pressure for hot water. Provided in the bathroom are small bottles of shampoo, hair conditioner, and tiny bars of soaps.
Breakfast starts at 6:00 a.m. Hot foods include scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits & gravy, waffle, oatmeal, and breads. Cereals are also one of the choices. Also, apples in a basket where guests are free to grab. I liked the spikie coffee! It tastes like an authentic home-brewed coffee. Btw, the staff at the breakfast room is very service oriented, too.
This hotel is nestled in a town in the middle of a desert, but surprisingly, travelers will find anything including cheap gas! Best Western Pahrump is about forty-five minute drive to the east entrance of Death Valley National Park. This hotel is quite far for a basecamp but, if you don't mind driving to/fro for less than an hour, then stay in this hotel.
