Looking right at Morro Rock and the bay. Aug 19, 2008
Located only two short blocks from the Embarcadero in Morro Bay, this three star rated motel by AAA has all of the things you need. Only twenty-four guest rooms in this two story facility, but all of them were renovated in 2002 and 2003. Today they have in room movies, HBO on cable satellite TV, am/fm alarm clock, coffee/tea maker, refrigerator, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and hi-speed internet access. My only less than thumbs up comes with the morning breakfast. Yes, they do offer a slightly expanded continental breakfast, with cold cereal, sweet rolls, hard boiled eggs, toast, juices and coffee. But they have only two small tables where you can eat, and no trays available so you can take it back to your own room to eat.

We checked into our motel, the Best Western Tradewinds, just one block up off the Embarcadero.
Dinner was at a very old local restaurant, Tognazzini’s Dockside Restaurant. We had eaten here for lunch several years ago but this was our first dinner. Swordfish looked good… Chapter Three |
