Before being separated from my husband for a month because of my job, we decided on a last-minute get-away to Lake Tahoe. We found a great deal at the Best Western Timber Cove Lodge Marina Resort on their website - one reasonable price included a night's stay and an afternoon boat cruise to Emerald Bay.
My husband and I went on that boat cruise on our first date and got married at Emerald Bay, so it is very special to us. We felt it was too good a deal to pass up. We were very impressed by our room at the Timber Cove Lodge - it wasn't large, but the fireplace made it very cozy. The location was great; we were right near all the fun things to do at South Lake Tahoe, including being on the lake itself. We enjoyed the hotel's outdoor hot tub and had drinks in the lobby bar. I had a wonderful massage at the hotel's spa: BioSpirit Massage. I definitely recommend the spa to anyone looking for one in the Tahoe area. It was the relaxing weekend we needed before I had to leave town. I'm sure we'll be staying at the Timber Cove Lodge again!

So I decided to do some skiing last week and had a major fall, injuring my Tailbone!!! It is very painful to sit and I'm wondering how I'm gonna make it through the 22 hours flying. Guess I'll have to stock up on pain killers!… I broke my butt! |
