Best Western Phanganburi Resort Koh Phangan

The location is about a 10 minute walk from Haad Rin. You can either walk along the beach or walk on the main road. I found the location perfect as its close to the full moon party but when your at the hotel its nice and quite.

Even though It is quiet. There was a good atmosphere, there were alot of other people there for the full moon party.

There were 2 swimming pools, one on the beach and the other by the reception area.

The rooms were pretty simple, clean,tidy and the beds were comfy but thats all you really need in Koh Phangan.

I have stayed at this resort a few times and have always loved the place so I was quite surprised when I returned and found it had become another one of them hotel chains (best western). The hotel no longer has any character and could be anywhere in the world just another European hotel, and as for European, the new European manager is not the nicest of people. The manager would constantly ask the Thai staff to come over to people at the pool and ask if they wanted to order something, which ok is nice every now and then but not every half an hour, the manager is defiantly money orientated and has completely stolen the atmosphere and sprit of the resort, it is now also insisted that if you lay by the pool that you have to buy something, which is a little silly after paying for the room (surely the pool is included). The hotel building itself is still the same, menu the same etc, it is a really nice hotel but for the price you could go a few doors down and find so much better. I am not going to start naming nicer hotels as I am not reviewing them but do look around.

In my first Koh Phangan trip i stayed in the Phanganburi Hotel for four nights. I pay nearly 21€/per night for an double room with air con, tv and breakfast. The Resort have 2 swimming pools and a Spa the prices are fair and you can relax.

Close to the Hotel you have an 7/11, also some restaurants and bars.

The Hotel is located in the south of Koh Phangan, you have to walk 5-10 min to reach Haad Rin with his Restaurants, Bars and the Full Moon Party.
