Best Western New Kuta Condotel Bali

The Best Western Condotel is a new hotel that just opened early 2009. It is in a new area of development called the New Kuta. The problem is (if you're wanting to be near the action), it IS in a new develeopment area and there is practically nothing around within walking distance. There is a golf course between the hotel and the beach. And on the beach, called Dreamland Beach, is another development called Klapa. Klapa has a restaurant/bar, a club, beachside pool, and a couple other adjoining restaurants. The hotel offers free shuttle rides to Klapa if you don't feel like walking.
The hotel, itself, is very nice. There is a restaurant, gym, and a spa on the premises. They also have a huge pool that we had almost exclusively to ourselves because it seemed everyone staying at the hotel went to Klapa or the beach.
There is a free breakfast every morning and we also had free wifi in our room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had one particular incident by the pool when we dropped something down under the decking and the maintenance guys actually pulled up some boards to help us find it. We really appreciated that!
I'm not sure if we would stay here again; not so much that we didn't like it, but that it didn't really stand out to give us good cause to come back. But that said, the hotel was a good value for the price. If you're watching your budget and would like something a little more quiet, I would recommend the Best Western.
