Wonderful Location! In the Heart of the Old Town Sep 14, 2009 Great location in the heart of Salzburg, literally just around the corner from the Mozart Birthhouse. The Mozart house is located on the Getreidegasse, the famous pedestrian-zoned street where you can shop-till-you-drop at a combo of touristy and trendy shops. The hotel is also a short walk to the Salzburg Dom (cathedral), where we attended a mass that featured music of Mozart. We also signed up through the hotel to take the 'Sound of Music' Tour; they shuttled us to the drop off location, and we had to walk back to the hotel when the tour was finished. The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. We've actually stayed at this hotel on two separate trips to Salzburg. The elevator leaves much to be desired; you can barely fit 1 person + luggage, but that's our only complaint. The 'Getreidegasse', famous stre… Salzburg Dom
