Best Western Hotel Arosa Madrid Reviews
Good hotel in the center of Madrid Dec 02, 2008
The Best Western Arosa stands adjacent to the popular Grand Via Avenue in the entertainment district of central Madrid, Spain. The hotel lies near several shopping venues, including Zara, the high fashion department store located opposite the hotel. Five-hundred meters from Best Western Arosa, Puerta del Sol bustles with life as the center of Madrid's historic district. Meanwhile, historic buildings and unique eateries cluster around Madrid's main square, one kilometer from Best Western Arosa. Madrid Barajas Airport lies 15 kilometers from the hotel.

Affordable 3 star hotel with average accomodations Sep 13, 2008
My friend I was traveling with was on a budget, so our travel agent booked according to location. Everything was in fairly close proximity. We were less than a 10 minute walk to Puerta Del Sol and we basically walked everywhere. Even though we took the metro a few times, it really wasn't necessary.
The rooms were small, but clean. The bathrooms were very up to date. I was only in my hotel room to use the facilities, take a shower and sleep. So the window with a view of adjacent buildings did not bother me. A friend staying on the same floor, but on the other side of the hotel, had a balcony. Do not bother going to the gym!!! It is a small room consisting of one elliptical machine that was not working, a stationary bicycle that was not working and a row machine. There were also free weights, an exercise mat and an exercise ball. If you're looking to burn calories by doing cardio, you are better off walking the streets of Madrid while sightseeing. Luckily, I used to be a certified personal trainer and am able to create a good workout with the tools provided. Otherwise, you will simply waste your time here. It was a huge disappointment. Make sure you bring a travel iron! They do have one you can borrow, but I believe it's literally only one that they have for all of the guests in the hotel . The hotel reservations include continental breakfast, which wasn't anything spectacular. They offered the typical breakfast foods such as fruit, cereal, ham, bacon sausage, eggs, cheese, bread, juices and coffee. This hotel has two elevators and one being the smallest 4 people elevator I have ever seen in my life! I have provided pictures for your entertainment. |
