Best 5 star hotels in Shangri-La and Lijiang - Reviews - Yunnan

Paradise Hotel in Shangri-La: Very big lobby, kinda confusing to get around. I stayed in a deluxe twin room. The room was spacious and it had a large picture window with a ledge you can sit on and sip tea while you read a book. The bedsheets were clean. The bathroom was big but divided up in an unusual way. The shower (not closed off) and toilet are in one section together and the sink is out in another section. The food there was good.

Treasure Hotel in Lijiang: 15 min taxi ride to the Old Town. It had a really nice bathroom with a red tile floor and walls. Huge picture window by the bathtub so you can watch the t.v. in the room while you're bathing (sound system built into the bathroom). Glass sink. Therapeutic stone floor in the shower. Everything was spotless. There were even complimentary apples and pears too! The room I had looked out to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Breath-taking! The food was good.
