Berlin to relaxx Jan 19, 2016
I've been to Berlin a few times already, i have friends living there for a while now. Every time i come there, it feels like the parents skipped town and left the children alone to play. The amazing thing is - most "children" in Berlin play nice. Everyone are very nice and kind, going to the Turkish markets to get their organic veggies and tasty Turkish fried things :)

They city wakes up at about 9 AM and at about 17 everyone are already in the park chillin or in a groovy 80's style bar drinking their beer. And - another crazy think - you can smoke just about anywhere! shops, coffee houses and of course most bars and clubs. The Berliners won't let anyone touch their beers, currywurst and smokes. That's there to stay.

Anyway, on Sunday you go to the many flea makets, each one has a different vibe and merchandise, then they have brunch and then they go rest after 3 nights of partying in the oh so many amazing clubs this town has to offer.

well, there's a lot more to say about Berlin but my point is: if you want to relax, feel like there's no pressure, but still be in a western city with everything a city has to offer - Berlin is the right place for you. I heard the next best thing is Hamburg. i plan to do this next:

Yay! Hope i could go soon!

hope you can 2!

Berlin - you gotta go! Sep 18, 2011
Berlin is a city of about 4 million inhabitants. The old division between east and west still is there, but fading. Generally I'd recommend the east when going out. Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain etc are really nice parts of the city. The cost of renting a flat or room is also cheaper in the east.

There's history everywhere you go. And every part of the city has its own charm.

I lived in Berlin April-July 2006 whilst studying at the TU Berlin.
