“Excellent location for both summer and winter” Mar 21, 2015
We arrived on a rainy evening where all the parkings spaces at Marriott and the neighboring hotel were taken and the hotel took care of the situation without any problem. Even though they didn't have valet- they just took care of the car and we could call for it the following day.

The lounge area was spacious and lived up to what to expect from a 5 star hotel. The receptionist was both kind and flexible and that made our evening.

The room was nice, large and so was the bathroom - modern and chic.. There was a really nice broad bed and with soft and smooth bedlinen. The hotel location is really perfect and there are many things to do in the neighborhood. During the development of Potsdamer Platz there have been established loads of bars and restaurants and shopping possibilities.

We didn't book breakfast with the room as I thought it was too expensive.

The gold standard, love this place/location! Apr 14, 2012
Marriott has a recipe for success that no other brand can compete with.

Marriott Gold status is priceless! Wish I joined travbuddy while the staff names where still fresh in my mind, they were so helpful. The beer and donuts in the club lounge killed my physique. The breakfast, fabulous. Service: TEN!

Rented the bicycles and road all over the town. The staff was very helpful and good sports with all of our shenanigans. Everything is nearby.

Breakfast - 10

Internet - 10

Gym - can't remember but park next door great for bikes and runs

Room - 10

Club Lounge - 10 Keg beer, bottled beer, red wine,

The worst part was leaving!

Great Location! May 31, 2011
The Berlin Marriott Hotel is beautiful. It absolutely made our visit to Berlin wonderful. The Marriott "looks" new, it has a very updated, fashion forward feel. It is so modern with its silver sleek water fountains accented with pools of black. The rooms are clean and have an open feel. They are a nice size even for a family in one room. The bathrooms were equally nice and equipped with items you might need. The Marriott is expensive....but you are paying for location! and the glitz of the hotel. This location can't be beat! We walked most everywhere, and Berlin is HUGE. Unless things have changed in the last 4 years,,, breakfast is NOT included for this pricey hotel. The food "looks" wonderful... but the large dining area was crowded and it looked as if we would have a long wait to eat and get started. So we opted for a glitzy hotel next door, I THINK it was the Ritz or Carlton (same?) no wait, great food, same price! There is a bit of a language barrier in the hotel. However this is common for East Germany VS. West Germany. Most people in the West (Bonn, Koblenz, St.Goar, Cologne) speak several languages. The concierge did speak English very well, and was helpful everytime. He did seem rushed at times, as he was the ONLY one on duty. For such a large hotel I found this odd. Normally there are a few "assistants" especially if other languages are needed. This was a small detail in the scheme of things. The Marriott is located only a short walk to MANY locations that would interest everyone... 5 minutes to the Brandenberg Gate. You may walk to the Jewish Memorial easy. Potsdamer Platz is right out the door which has several large sections of The Wall! You can walk to hundreds of restaurants, shops, etc... My favorite "Tony Roma's" is in walking distance. We took a horse carriage ride from the Brandenberg Gate back to the Marriott for fun and a "cheap" short ride for the kids. This is a lovely hotel. I would stay here again due to cleanlines and location. You can eat cheaper almost anywhere within 1-3 blocks. I think there was even a Dunkin Donuts around the corner. This would certainly be my first choice on a return visit to Berlin!

Awesome Hotel in Berlin Jul 23, 2008
Alright so in 21 days of travelling through Europe, I have to say this was by far the best place I stayed. The hotel is outstanding. The staff trully knows the meaning of customer service. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The morning breakfast was amazing and for those of you who are gold members, the concierge lounge is fully stocked with drinks and food along with free internet.

I will be back here next time in Berlin.

Great Marriott property within walking distance to all sights Jul 12, 2008
Comes with a price, but I would definitely stay here again in order to be close to all of the amazing sights in Berlin. One of the better Marriott's I've visited anywhere in Europe and I highly recommend it for singles as well as families. I stayed there over New Years this past year and it exceeded all of my expectations.
