BengawanSolo is a branded name in Singapore, it stands for a nationwide chain of delicatessen.

Bengawan Solo offers a wide range of mouthwatering kueh, cookies, tarts and other savouries. Most of the 50 type of Kueh Lapis en Lapis Sagu they sell are being hand made by some 150 factory staff. And you can really taste that cause all the things they sell are of high quality and taste delicious and look very attractive.

You can also order celebration cakes like for a wedding or birthday.

We can't wait to get our hands on some Kueh Lapis and Lapis Sagu from one of the outlets of BengawanSolo:) What's that? I can hear al you non Asian's wonder already:P Well it's a Peranaken or Nonya delicacy. Peranaken or Nonya combines Chinese, Malay and other influences into a unique blend. Peranaken stands for descendants of early Chinese migrants who settled… Finally!
