Nothing is more precious to the hard core Bangalorian than the 2 words "Gandhi Bazaar". It's been around forever, and despite India's "modernisation" continues to retain its old world feel and charm. The area is very well shaded, lots of trees and very cool. Also, it's a walker's paradise - fruit and veg vendors, flowers (we Hindus use to adorn our idols with) and of course the food!
