Ben Michael's Cafe Reviews

Jan 28, 2008
Ben Michael's is one of the greatest places here in Albuquerque! Its a local guy and his family and his restaurant. He got this old house converted it into a restaurant. If its a slow night he will come on out a shoot the breeze with ya. His mom takes your drinks and both his mom and I recommend the margaritas!
This guy is the only cook (with occasional help from his mom) and rumor has it he grows his veggies and the green chili (hotter than anywhere else and oh so good!)
Not only is the food and the service some of the best but pretty often there will be people in there playing some sort of music/instrument. It could be High Schoolers it could be some local singer/song writer, it could be just some guy who plays the piano.... and if you are lucky Ben will play a ditty or two for ya.

If you are looking for REAL local and a REAL family place ran by someone who couldn't hide the fact that he is truly happy doing what he does you MUST check this place out!

I will get a pic next time I go.
--No breakfast and if you go I would love to know if my review helped--
