A small park on the western shore of Lake Bemidji contains large statues of the fictional Paul Bunyan and Babe the blue ox. Lake Bemidji State Park is located on the northern shore of Lake Bemidji and contains many hiking trails, including the popular bog walk, as well as a swimming beach and campground.
