Belvedere Hotel Wengen

Let me start by qualifying my cost analysis. Of the two times I have stayed at the Belvedere the cost was included in a package, so I am not entirely sure of the cost rating.

This hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. I've always come to Switzerland after a few days in Rome and Florence, so I eagerly anticipate the laid-back attitude of Wegen. And the Belvedere is the embodiment of laid-backness in lodging form.

The rooms are spacious, the views gorgeous and the beds cloud-like.

The restaurant serves great food and anything in the city is in walking distance. It's also a great starting point for hiking to the Eiger Mountain (as if any place is a bad starting point). By the way, they allow pets!

No matter the price, you can't go wrong with the Hotel Belvedere.
