Belgobaren Stockholm Reviews
A small piece of Belgium in Stockholm Jul 05, 2010
In a street called Bryggargatan (Brewer Street) one of the many Belgian bars of Stockholm is situated.
The place has a nice outdoor service and the restaurant is situated next door to the cozy hotel Frey. The street is blocked in one end, so there is no traffic in front of it, which is nice in the centre of the town. The indoor area is calm and kept in dark cozy light. The tables are as far away from a cozy Belgian cafe as possible; steel plated - something you only would see in modern cafes in the touristic areas. But wooden legs and traditional Swedish design makes it quite cozy; almost all the light you had inside was candle lights.
For my meal I ordered a traditional Belgian dish; Les Moules Frites Provenciale. The Moules were quite good and the frites also. As a beer I went for the Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor from my favourite brewery situated in Mechelen.
The place was overall very nice. The service was very swift and friendly. It was only the fastest services I had seen
