Monday saw the numbers dwindling down to four, three, two, and finally just Sylvie.
On Monday morning I was awake before 7. I always have this phobia of waking up late on the day I have to be at the airport, but as usual, I ended up waking long before I was supposed to. But it gave me time to pack up, shower, and relax. Pieter was up not long after me because he also had to be somewhere, dressed up in his kilt (picture supplied). Ashish was up next, just before Pieter left us. And the...

Kaija’s sister had only one day in Brussels when she visited us and she wanted to see as much as possible in this day. Unfortunately it was somewhat of a rainy day. I wanted to take her sister to some of the Sunday markets in Jeu de Balle or Gare Medi because these are places where you will meet the best Brussels atmosphere in the city. Kaija does absolute not like these places – so I decided to do a Belgian compromise, what they always does down here.
I took then for a quick visit to Ma...

Finally I went to sleep to the main room, between Ashish and Sylvie.
Sylvie don't let me sleep so much, he he he, I try to make a movie (2º TB X-Movie) but Kornifalig didn't leave me :( Sylvie you're a lucky girl! :D
Maths lesson:
Alcohol + No sleep =.............................HEADACHE!
Finally I wake up at 11? Shower, change my clothes and getting better, ready for a cafe and something for lunch.

Finally Sylvie suggested to have a meetup in her beautifull city Antwerp. For me this came as a surprise! I remember her words quite clearly after the Amsterdam meetup, 'I will never going to organise such a meetup at my place'. After different attempts to convince her otherwise I gave up. She didn't want to organise a meetup so I respected that. Just to find out weeks later she is going to organise one!
Thumbs Up for you Sylvie, you proved you can do this very well and all TravBuddy's atte...

This is my third meetup that i am attending overseas and I couldn't go there and back without having issues with my flights haha... In JFK I encountered something I have never heard of before, and didn't think was even possible... but nothing is impossible when you are talking about Delta Airlines. My Gate was TRIPLE BOOKED!!! Thats right, there was 3 planes scheduled to fly out of my gate AT THE SAME TIME!!! Bravo Delta :) The poor intern standing at the gate desk was being bombar...

Yesterday we had the Meetup in Antwerp. 28 degrees, shops all over the place, great people, tasty wine so we had a great time. :D
After a little hour by car we arrived the sunny city of Antwerp. It's only 11.00 and already 24 degrees which is very uncommon for this area in this period. But who cares? We started the day by taking a waffle as breakfast and walking through the city to wake up as the last night was a short one. We first met Wendy and Anna and went with them ...

So last night I was contemplating whether I should set an alarm to wake us up before check out or not. I decided against it and figured we wouldn’t sleep that long. Well no need for an alarm when your hotel is right outside the cathedral and the bells start going off at 9am on the dot for 15 minutes. Oh man it was so brutal...it was sooo loud and we were definitely awake. I am so glad that we decided to get a hotel. It was the best thing ever! It was two twin beds pushed together and I was ...

He is so great, he tryd to make me less nervos, which he did. Then I called 'shom', to calm me down, which he also did, although I did wak him up and he was sleeping. This will be my last morning in Brussels. Despite I haven’t been here long, I felt sad about the idea of living this nice city….
I met Matt downstairs, checked out, but left my bags until I come back later. It was cool being with someone just for a change, hahaha. We left the hostel and started walking around the city. We visited the Justice Palace ;) we went inside and took some pics, hahaha.
We also went to Palais Royal. It was so lovely… I felt like Royalty. We wer...

Watching the pictures and reading the blogs about all that travelbuddy meetups that took place made me envy the fun the participants had there. I just hope one day a meetup would appear I would be definitely able to join. I think the first one who told me about the Antwerp meetup planned for May was Lauro. It looked really fine, that was the time when I was supposed to be in Düsseldorf in Germany, Antwerp is not that far away, yeaaah. I found the corresponding blog and put me on as a...

The weather is still changing, but as usually in the morning there was so much sun, that i couldn't resist to go out for visiting new corners in the nice Bruxelles. The nearby park - Cinquantenaire with its wide spaces, two museaums and the beautiful arch was my todays walk. Under the arch there is a huge Belgium flag - biggest national flag i've ever saw! Besides, the people here use to hang their flag out of the window, or balcony. I like it, it's a sign, it's good when people care of...

"I had a terrible night rest", BJ said when he woke in the snore palace that was our hotel room. "Well, I didn't sleep to bad, I just has this very weird dream." "That wasn't a dream Ed", BJ replied, with a big grin. Dazed and confused we all took our showers and refreshed and we hadn't even checked out properly when my mobile phone rang. It was Anna, asking where we all were. I explained that we were checking out and would be at the Groenplaats in a couple of minutes.
Since BJ's feet were ...
