A unique museum of the hot springs Mar 30, 2008

An interesting and unique museum in the Beitou hot springs area. The building was a restored Japanese occupation era public bath, with beautiful stained glass windows, large tatami rooms and view of the surrounding parks. Artifacts of the hot springs and bath and history of the area's hot springs are well showcased. Plan to spend 1 hour or more here.

Then we went to the Beitou Hot Springs Museum. Beitou 北投 used to be a sacred place during the Japanese occupation, and the location of the museum used to be a large public bath, in the Japanese style of course about 1913. There were restaurants, rest areas in addition to the baths… Beitou Hell Valley 地熱谷 and Yangmingshan 陽明山 for the day
