Bet Shean National Park Feb 14, 2017
This was the first archaelogical park I have visited in Israel and is worth a visit. It is very easy to reach it by bus from Tiberias.

The visitor is invited to travel back on both Roman and Byzantine periods. Some ruins are well preserved such as: the theatre, the bathhouses and the colonnade that run along both Palladius and Silvanus Streets.

In my opinion, at least one hour should be spent to visit this great park.

As I have planned to visit 5 national parks, I have bought the Green Card, which allows you to visit 6 natural, historical, archaelogical and religious sites in Israel for NIS 110. If you, however, wish and can visit more than 6 sites in two weeks, do not hesitate to pay NIS 150 for the card that includes 65 sites.

Timetable (08:00 - 16:00/17:00)

Entrance Fee: NIS 36

To reach Beit She'an village from Tiberias, take SuperBus 28. The trip lasts 30 minutes and costs NIS 16.3. From Beit She'an bus station to the Archaelogical Park walk for about 15 minutes. For your convenience, if you like to travel early in the morning, I can advise you my day trip:

Tiberias - Bet She'an (08:00 - 08:30)

Bet She'an - Tiberias (10:30 - 11:01 or 12:05 - 12:36)
