Beijing - Olympics 2008 Travel Reviews

The OLYMPIC Beijing Apr 10, 2008
I have lived in Beijing for almost 3 years and I see so many people expressing their desire to come to Beijing for the Olympics....

So I thought I would post an article dealing with what the OLYMPIC Beijing is going to be like...

FIRSTLY, If you do not like lots of people, then this is one Olympic city to avoid. Consider the fact that China already has 1/5 of the world's population add to this the fact there will be hundreds of
thousands of extra tourists...the word crowded does not come close.

[Assuming you like busy then keep reading]

SECONDLY, If you have been scared to come to Beijing, China because of the language factor...then now is as good a time to come. Everyone is learning English. It is both cute to listen to and sometimes frustrating. The school children, the police, the hotels and the taxi drivers are all training hard to say "Hello"! The volunteers and locals will be busting themselves to help out foreigners so give it a go!

THIRDLY, GET THE FOOD INTO YOU! Hey you only live once and the kind of food you can sample here in the Capital ranges from boring but delicious noodles to Scorpion on a stick...GET THAT INTO YOU!

FOURTHLY, Divide your prices by 8-10. Hey you can't blame them but everyone is trying to make a buck off the Olympics...but if you are smart you can score some serious bargains...ladies great shoes and handbags. Guys everything guys want!! Start by dividing by 8, 9 or 10 then bargain from there!

LASTLY, HAve fun and hit the clubs...the Chinese Clubs absolutely rock and are so safe it amazes me,

so enjoy yourself and if you have any questions contact me!
