The Beijing Foreign Languages Bookstore is easy enough to find and get to, it's right off of the Wangfujing metro stop outside of the mall. Yes, there's the Wangfujing Bookstore right there, but for it's size, it doesn't have a good selection of books in English. For that, you have to walk down the street a little further. One the first floor are some travel books and other books, but most are on the third floor- childrens', business, other languages, teaching English, etc. There are people there who speak some English as well.

Because these books are imported, they are going to cost more. Deal with it, if you can find them cheaper, let me know! I've purchased a few books for myself, but most have been teaching related. You can place special orders, but I was told that they take 3 months to come in.

And Beijing- Chaterhouse since it's near the apartment (I'd go to the Foreign Language Bookstore, but it's a trip to Wangfujing). I just finished a book called Marley & Me by John Grogan.  I wanted to read it since Marley is a yellow Lab that ended up reminding me oh-so-much of my own, Tyme… Reading as a part of life

Day off…spent the morning getting my internet fixed, then spent the afternoon at Wangfujing at a foreign language bookstore and then wondering about Ritan looking for Jenny Lou’s since I was coming from the opposite direction than Daniel and I took.   After wondering around Little Russia for a while, I finally found it.   I really need to remember… Little Russia and finding that Western store again...

I wanted to check out the foreign language bookstore I had scoped out there. They had an enormous selection of travel books -- nearly all Lonely Planets and Rough Guides. No Fodors :^(  I bought a book for Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos since we hope to do side trips there from our base… Miscellaneous touristy tidbits.

That evening I headed to Wanfujing to the foreign language bookstore to get equipped and grabbed a cheeky McDonalds whilst I was there too.   The UIBE canteen must have really got to me, because I haven’t had a Mackie D’s for a fair few years. The following day we were… UIBE Week 1
